Call for Contributions JAIR #2:
Innovation and Entrepreneurship
What is innovation and how are entrepreneurship and innovation changing to meet the future needs of organizations and consumers? What are the drivers for the future? Where are these fields headed? How will AI play into the future of these fields? What are interdisciplinary ways to look at these fields?
The editors of the Journal of Applied Interdisciplinary Research (JAIR) invite you to contribute to the discussion on these and related questions in the Issue #2 (2025) focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship:
We invite researchers to explore a spectrum of themes, including:
What is innovation without new ways of publishing?
Innovation and entrepreneurship is also something that the JAIR wants to bring into the world of academic publishing. Therefore this issue will be different. We aim to explore unconventional approaches to scientific publishing, integrating ideas and methodologies from open software development while including elements of open science like transparency, citizen involvement and open data. How can we explore new avenues in these areas without innovating the traditional academic publishing process?
All submitted articles will undergo two double-blind review processes. The first review will be the standard academic peer review process. After the peer reviewer process, they will go through a public review. Reviewers are asked to consider our guidelines for reviewers. At this stage, the articles will be opened to different stakeholders primarily recruited via LinkedIn to make comments. Authors must agree to accept this type of review, too. This process is, however, still a double-blind process for authors and reviewers. With an open review, the transfer of knowledge will already be integrated into the publishing process by incorporating citizen science elements. Researchers and young scientists will exchange with stakeholders from the economic sector and from civil society, discussing their applied research ideas and solutions during the publishing process. This form of publishing process allows for a mutual exchange between the academic and the non-academic sector.
Please find detailed information about the submission process here.
Futhermore, please find information about the review process and quality control here.
The deadline for submission of full text articles to JAIR is extendet till September 30th, 2024.
The decision about acceptance for publication and the reviews (peer review and public review) will be forwarded to you until November 2024.
Planned publication date of the journal issue: April 2025.
