Abstract

The paper presents an assessment methodology to measure sustainability for product and product-service system development. The focus is on the early phase of the development to enable a proactive instead of a reactive approach. This contrasts with most of the existing assessment methodologies. By means of the methodology the complex issue of sustainability is made assessable and presented graphically in an easy and understandable manner.
