Rolf Rascher

Prof. Dr. Rascher has held a professorship at Deggendorf Institute of Technology since 2001. Since 2012, he has been a professor at the faculty of Natural Sciences and Industrial Engineering. His focus of teaching is in the areas of production technology and technology management. Since October 2009, he has been head of Technology Campus Teisnach and DIT’s research group „Optical Engineering“. He takes care of a variety of industrial R&D projects in the area of manufacturing and measuring technology for optics. The main focus of his research work is the process development in optics manufacturing and the treatment of hard, brittle materials. He is first chairman of the annual SPIE conference „European Seminar on Precision Optics Manufacturing“ held at Technology Campus Teisnach.
