Prof. Dr. Erich Wühr (M.Sc.) was appointed professor in the subject areas of Health Promotion and Preventive Care by Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT)/Health Care Campus Bad Kötzting. In Bad Kötzting, he is managing a research project whose aim is to implement the so-called IGM® Lifestyle Programme, which was developed by Prof. Dr. Dieter Melchart (Technische Universität München), within the framework of community-based health promotion undertaken by the town Bad Kötzting in cooperation with the Technische Universität München and DIT. This community-based health education programme for citizens and visiting tourists is to be introduced, implemented, developed and evaluated in the course of this three-year long research project which is funded by the Bavarian Health Ministry.
